Rich with texture, this piece marks a debut in mixed media experimentation. The canvas began with a dreamy gradient, painted on the first day of fall, late September. For weeks, I sat with the soft colors and the subtle hint of a moon before daring to layer bold, textured cloud forms.
There was no plan—just play. It felt both unnerving and freeing to slap the paste of the clouds and simply trust the process. That lack of expectation is why I adore this piece. It turned out perfectly imperfect, a testament to embracing the unknown.
I’m obsessed with the weight of the cloud forms pulling gently at the canvas, the shadows casting ripples, and the way it invites you to pause and take it all in.
