You’re a human being, not doing.

Hi, I’m Amber and I make art about doing less.

In a world that asks us to do more, give more, be MORE, I’m in the business of doing the opposite. And truth be told, I only got here after a decade of people-pleasing behavior. I grinded (ground?) my way to corporate success with an iMpReSsiVe marketing career. Looking back, the only thing I was grinding was my spirt. Down to a dull nub.

It was only after experiencing the loss of my last immediate family member in 2024, things became crystal clear: life is dangerously precious. We must learn how to prioritize our happiness now. We must continually seek what we love doing, and spend as much time as we can in that pursuit.

I see the world through a grounded lens and have been an expressionist artist since birth. Now? At a ripe 33 and starting my life over, I am hell-bent on exploring the power of presence and sharing it with anyone who will listen. ;) Testing the social boundaries of what it means to do less…

and then making art about it.

  • Currently dreaming and scheming up a workplace-wellness initiative with guided abstract art encouraging the busy minded folks to chill out and come back to their creativity.

  • Teaching myself realism through oil painting. 🤓 The goal isn’t to be perfect, but to learn through the discomfort and refine my foundations.

  • Starting a new life in the forgotten capital of art deco. Tulsa, OK! It’s been ~12 days and I’m MEGA in love with this place.
